About Us

Brais and Geraldine fell in love with Pilón from the first time they visted. Its lush surroundings, vibrant atmosphere, and unspoiled beaches captivated them instantly. The warmth and hospitality of the locals only deepened their affection for the area. They were drawn to the breathtaking sunsets over the Osa Peninsula, renowned for its biodiversity.

Their connection with Pilón extended beyond its natural beauty; they found themselves enchanted by the local wildlife, including macaws and iguanas, as well as the authentic charm of the nearby farms. However, it was the opportunity to surf Pilón's three uncrowded left-point breaks that solidified their decision to build their lives here and make this place their home.

Brais Nieto intuitively knows how to make guests feel pampered and at home. Originally from Spain, he is a master of hospitality, a certified surfing and kiteboarding coach, and has worked as a chef on luxury yachts and at five-star hotels.

Geraldine De Valensart is an avid photographer, art-lover, naturalist, and baker. She’s also the mother of three toe-haired young children and, together with Brais, she’s raising them among the mango trees and howler monkeys in the pristine Southern Costa Rican jungle.
